             I don’t usually wax so philosophical, but I saw a moving quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson;

“Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you”

To me this means, that one shouldn’t question as  self absorbed or selfish, anytime spent doing exercise or clean eating, because by keeping your own ‘self’ healthy, happy and full of energy, you indirectly and directly help your family, friends, co-workers and humanity, by improving yourself!

So, go for an evening walk, look at the beautiful night sky and acknowledge and know the many blessings you have!

 Workout  2/21/10: Sunday

Spinning at Home (with guided tape)- 19 miles

Food Diary 2/21/10: Sunday

Breakfast-

1 piece Weight Watchers English muffin,  with no sugar added jam (110 cal)

1 cup egg whites, spinach, and broccoli (130 cal) 

A.M. Snack-

1 cup brown rice, 2 tbls peas (210 cal) 

 Lunch- 

2 oz filet mignon (184 cal)

Salad- 1/4 orange sweet peppers, Beets,1 tbls edamame, 1 cup Spinach, Broccoli, 4 Cherry Tomatoes (95 cal)

P.M. Snack-

Apple (57 cal)

3/4 cup high fiber cereal, non fat milk (140 cal)

Dinner- restaurant

Salad- cranberries, mixed greens, Gorgonzola, 3 oz chicken (340 cal)

3/4 cup broccoli (30 cal) 

Dessert- 

1/2 cup non-fat cottage cheese, 1 cup greek yogurt, 1/4 cup sliced strawberries (190 cal)

1 cup skim milk with Ovaltine (180 cal)

TOTAL CALORIES- 1666
