Happy Memorial Day! I hope all of you had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend. Today my husband and I had decided to relax because we had been so busy Saturday and Sunday and I had gotten a little too much sun yesterday. I had put sunscreen continuously on my face and chest: the two places I burn and have had too much sun on in the past. But, the strangest thing happened yesterday. I burned in other places that I've never burned in my entire life! Never have my arms, legs, or back gotten burnt...never. So my friend and I went online because not only was I burnt in strange places; but I had tons, and I mean tons, of freckles all over my face. I've never had freckles before either! We decided to google these symptoms to see if they related to pregnancy. According to the Pregnancy Association women who are pregnant are more susceptible to burns (ie. the weird burns I got on my arms, legs, and back) and chloasma (ie. the dark spots on my face especially around my lips, and on my cheeks and nose). Now my doctor said hanging out by the pool all day is fine as long as I keep cool but wow, reading all the various sites freak me out saying things like overheating can cause brain damage and spinal problems. Sometimes reading all the sites on the internet can really scare someone!
