Have you ever considered doing liposuction?
I chose to go through with liposuction at the suggestion of my doctor. I don't know whether she suggested it because she truly believes in it, or because she received some kind of compensation for referring me. I know I make my own choices and by doing so, it is my fault I chose to go through with the surgery. However, I was feeling desperate! I was working out like crazy, eating healthy (other than the beer!) and rapidly gaining. Soon I was going to be 200 pounds and it felt as if there was nothing I could to do to stop it. My life felt like it was spiraling out of control. I was ashamed of my body and looking for a quick fix. What a horrible feeling.
Maybe not all liposuction procedures are as painful or unsuccessful, but mine was atrocious! I had it done on my inner/outer thighs and stomach area. It was one of the most painful experiences of my life. I was on total bed rest for two weeks and my Mom literally had to wash me in the shower. The first few days were so horrendous I could not even wipe myself to go to the bathroom. I even followed doctor's orders, wearing the spandex shorts and velcro wrap to keep my skin tight. While my friends were out having a great time on New Year's I was lying in bed crying from the pain. Even after several months I was in too much pain to workout. More so, it was evident nothing really had changed...other than the small scars from the liposuction to show for it. I knew I was still on the hunt for a diet that would work for me and last long-term.
Why was Jenny Craig the right program for me? Until tomorrow...

1/2 cup broccoli
1/4 cup mushrooms
2 oz. whole wheat pasta
1/4 cup Parmesan Alfredo Sauce Light
Salad (mixed greens, tomatoes, croutons)
2 tbsp. light ranch
Snack -
100 calorie pack
