When I woke up this morning my husband told me he was going to make me a surprise dinner. Haha and he knows me well because he told me to plan my "diet" accordingly so that we could have some wine. I have to tell you, we have been so stressed with moving and my chronically ill parents that we haven't had any quality time together. JB cooked cajun tilapia on the grill with vegetable skewers and whole grain rice. The cajun seasoning he basted the fish and veggies in was DELICIOUS! We had a candle-lit dinner with some white wine. It was such a nice evening being able to eat and converse with my husband, putting our stress aside. Instead of my fat for the day and my snack after dinner I chose to have two glasses of wine. Remember how I mentioned a balance? It's all about learning how to exchange one thing for another. See - I still enjoy alcohol and even snacks; everything is just portioned and controlled.
