It's very difficult to stick to a healthy eating plan if you're always dining out.  Just this week I already had a belated birthday dinner with my mother-in-law's family, a wedding on Friday, and I plan on meeting a friend for lunch Saturday!  You can eat off the Jenny Craig plan, be on maintenance, etc. and still dine out.  It's all about making good choices and maybe exercising a little more that week to make up for some foods that were not so good.  

I have one of the best mother-in-laws; I couldn't ask for a better one.  We have a lot in common, she takes care of my son while I'm teaching (and does an excellent job of it), and is so thoughtful.  We get along really well.  Last night she brought my birthday dinner to our house so we didn't have to travel with the baby.  I'm not kidding; she brought everything from drinks, to plates, dinner, and dessert!  It really was touching to me that she would go to all that trouble.  Moreover, she always tries to keep my diet in mind.  She brought a huge salad and shrimp (shrimp cocktail is definitely a healthy choice!).

 Whenever we do go to her house for dinner she never gets offended if I bring my Jenny Craig meal when I'm on the program.  She always is conscientious about having a salad or some kind of veggie for me.  Since she has known me on the program she knows that I'm dedicated to achieve my goal weight.  She has been one of those people I've mentioned in previous blogs that is supportive and a factor to losing and/or maintaining my weight.  

The more people that know you are a healthy eater and that you really do stick to it; if they care about you they will support you.  This will help you in situations when you do have to dine out.  The less negativity and the more "cheerleaders" you have  will help you achieve your goal weight.

1 cup coffee with 2 tsp. creamer

JC Cheeseburger with mustard

Salad no dressing

Snack -


Dinner -

JC Chicken Parmesan

Salad (mixed greens, peppers, tomatoes) 2 tbsp. light ranch

Snack -

JC Chocolate Chip Snack Bar
